Just south of the Design District is one of the city's newest Miami real estate developments, New York-based Midtown Equities' Midtown Miami. The Midtown Miami area is flourishing with a wave of Miami condos for rent and retail activity. Nearly all the Miami condos for rent at the three residential buildings, Midtown 2, Midtown 4 and MidBlock, are occupied and a swarm of new restaurants have rented commercial properties, like Mercadito and Shimon Bokovza's Sugarcane Raw Bar & Grill. The retail space in Miami Midtown is almost fully leased, and Midtown's office spaces are renting has as well.
