According to a report from Condo Vultures, in the second quarter of 2010 there were 111 new Sunny Isles condos sold, reducing unsold developers inventory to 20 percent. The Sunny Isles condos sold for a total of $102.2 million in buildings that have been constructed in the area since 2003. That is an average of $475 per square foot.

According to the report, based on Miami-Dade County records, out of nearly 6,350 new Sunny Isles condos developed in the last seven years, less than 1,300 developers units now remain unsold or are still under construction.

Sunny Isles luxury complex to get new Aquarium and park

Developers of condos in Miami, J. Milton & Associates is backing plans for a city-owned aquarium and park across from its new luxury Miami real estate complex in Sunny Isles Beach, creating a tourist attraction that city leaders see as a milestone for the resort destination.

The plan was designed by the Coral Gables developer and would a strip mall near Collins Avenue and Sunny Isles Boulevard and turn it into an elevated park with shops, restaurants and an aquarium run by the owner of the Miami Seaquarium including a $1.5 million parcel owned by J. Milton, Sunny Isles spent about $20 million acquiring the land over the last two years.

Sonesta Beach Resort backs out of Trump Miami Condo Hotel Deal

Donald Trump’s Sunny Isles Beach hotel will have to carry itself.

The Sunny Isles Beach Resort, 390 room, Miami oceanfront hotel was until recently the Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort. However, the Sonesta officially canceled its management agreement with the property's owners, Dezer Properties, after the Boston hotel company's attempt to buy out Dezer failed, earlier this week,

The Miami hotel will now operate as the Trump International Beach Resort and be part of the Leading Hotels of the World reservation system. Dezer Properties signed a licensing deal with Trump to brand the Miami condo-hotel, which opened in 2003.
