Fire Destroys North Bay Road 'Castle', Miami Beach Home
A fire broke out at a well-known Miami Beach home around 8:30 a.m. on Friday along North Bay Road and 46th Street.

The castle-style Miami Beach home that is located in the 44th block of North Bay Road was built by Captain Michael Burke, the founder of Windjammer Barefoot Cruises.

Local 10's Glenna Milberg reported, the house which was currently on the market for $6.9 million, featured iron gates, gargoyles, turrets, towers, parapets, a draw bridge and a 65,000-gallon salt water moat filled with sand sharks.

The structure was fully overcome by flames, when firefighters arrived Friday morning.
